treasurer, reported our current checking account balance is $1,385.81. The balance, he said, reflects the total
after the club’s liability insurance has been paid.
Proposed area high school
scholarships: John Regan (KA0HYR) described initial contacts he has made with
counselors at Woodbury, Park,
Based on his experience as SoWashCo, District 833, Superintendent (retired), John
detailed his insights into the high school scholarship process: counselors are
very receptive to awards in the $200-$500 range, they are very helpful in
establishing criteria, application procedures and deadlines for the awards and
they can aid in the selection process.
Scholarships are a win-win, John noted.
They are a source of pride for both the student and parents and a $250
scholarship, for example, can pay for a semester’s books.

Foundation, scholarships are currently available through QCWA (Quarter Century
Wireless Association) and Ten:Ten
(10 meter net).

re-activating area amateurs who are currently licensed and recruiting new
